RomCenter is known for its structured, spreadsheet-like interface. The UI is generally divided into three panes:

A DatFile acts as a blueprint or dictionary. It contains a list of every known game for a specific system, along with the specific checksums (MD5, SHA1, CRC32) that a perfect file should have. RomCenter scans your folders, calculates the checksums of your files, and matches them against the blueprint to tell you exactly what you have, what you are missing, and what is broken.
