The most headline-grabbing feature of Lumion 2023 is the complete rewrite of its rendering engine. In previous iterations, Lumion utilized a rasterization engine that was incredibly fast but sometimes lacked the physical accuracy of light behavior found in more computationally heavy software. Lumion 2023, however, introduces a hybrid ray-tracing engine with full RTX support. This is a paradigm shift. Here is the catch. Raytracing is heavy. You will need a modern RTX graphics card (3060 or higher recommended) to run the new raytraced effects smoothly.
