By default, pressing the key on your keyboard captures an image of your entire screen and copies it to the clipboard. However, many users prefer visual feedback or want to open a dedicated screenshot tool. Starting with Windows 10 (October 2018 Update) and continuing in Windows 11, Microsoft added a setting that allows the Print Screen button to launch the Snipping Tool directly.
