Set in the Caribbean in 1763, the story follows newlyweds Manuel and Isabella, whose honeymoon is cut short when they are attacked by a ruthless pirate crew led by Captain Victor Stagnetti. Stagnetti, aided by his first mate Serena, kidnaps Manuel because he is a descendant of an Inca King and holds the key to finding a mystical scepter of immense power.
