The Windows Local Group Policy Editor, also known as gpedit.msc , is a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that allows users to configure and manage local Group Policy settings on a Windows computer.
(Note: If you are running Windows Home edition, the Group Policy Editor is not included by default, though there are workarounds to enable it.)
