The mid-80s were a turbulent time. Turbo is the great divider. Intended to be a double album, it was chopped down into a slick, synth-guitar experiment. Tracks like "Parental Guidance" feel dated now, but "Turbo Lover" remains a cult groove. It cost them some credibility, but it proved they weren't afraid to fail.
