Hailing from Benin City, he blended Highlife with Akwete and Jorodo styles, playing the guitar with such speed and dexterity that he earned the title "The Guitar Boy." His music carried a mystical, storytelling quality, often recounting folk tales or encounters with water spirits (as heard in his hit "Titibiti" ).
