The (often referred to as the HSBC Secure Key ) is a mandatory security tool used for two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect your online and mobile banking accounts. It generates a unique, one-time passcode (OTP) that verifies your identity during login or when performing high-risk transactions like setting up new payees.
