James Bagwell was the father of Theodore Bagwell. His character is primarily explored through flashbacks and T-Bag’s own harrowing accounts of his childhood in Alabama. Unlike the masterminds of "The Company" or the physical threats like Brad Bellick, James represented a more intimate kind of villainy: the domestic monster.

On June 6, 2015, Bagwell and Mienie were recaptured in Warwick, Rhode Island.
