The built-in help menu is decent. Clicking on a parameter usually brings up a description window, but it is often a condensed version of the manual. You will likely still need the PDF hardware manual open on a second monitor for detailed explanations on specific bit settings.

Gone are the days of wrestling with DOS-based interfaces or clunky legacy drivers. FR Configurator 2 installs cleanly on modern Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and 11).

While FR Configurator 2 handles parameterization , it does not replace a PLC programming environment (like TIA Portal or Codesys). You still need your PLC to run the logic. This tool simply makes sure the hardware speaks the same language as the PLC.
