To make a program launch automatically at login:

This folder is specific to your account. Programs placed here will not launch for other users.

| Problem | Solution | |---------|----------| | Program doesn’t start despite being in folder | Check if the shortcut target is valid. Some apps require admin rights – use Task Scheduler instead. | | Can’t find the Startup Folder | Ensure hidden files are visible. Use shell:startup run command. | | Program starts twice | Check both the Startup Folder and Task Manager (or Registry). It may be registered in multiple places. | | Need to delay startup | Use to set a delay, or a third-party tool like Startup Delayer . |

While adding apps to the Startup folder is convenient, having too many items can significantly slow down your boot time.
