If you successfully roll back the driver, Windows 10 or 11 might try to automatically update it again during the next update cycle, breaking your device again. You may need to use the "Show or Hide Updates" troubleshooter tool from Microsoft to hide the Prolific driver update so it doesn't auto-install.
