Lara Croft Secret Beast -

Created by Jeremy Smith and Andrew E. Gavin, Lara Croft first appeared in the 1996 video game "Tomb Raider." Initially designed as a male character, Lara was reimagined as a female protagonist to stand out in a male-dominated industry. Her name was inspired by actress Lara Flynn Boyle, while her appearance was modeled after various celebrities, including Jill Derbyshire and Natalie Cook.

Developers from Core Design (speaking anonymously to Retro Gamer in 2022) admitted that a “stalker entity” was prototyped for The Last Revelation but scrapped because testers found it “too stressful, not fun.” One developer noted: “It wasn’t about killing Lara. It was about making her feel watched . That broke the power fantasy.” lara croft secret beast
