Jeppesen Approach Guide
The Jeppesen Approach is a triumph of over raw data. By forcing a chaotic three-dimensional problem (descending through clouds to a runway) into a disciplined two-dimensional vertical strip, Jeppesen gave pilots a reliable mental model. From a hand-drawn notebook in a mail plane to a georeferenced iPad app, the core principle remains: Standardize the geometry of descent, and you standardize safety. For any pilot flying IFR in controlled airspace, understanding the Jeppesen approach is not optional—it is the universal language of landing.
Today, the "Jeppesen Approach" is no longer just paper. The (EFB) retains the same briefing logic but adds dynamic layers: jeppesen approach
