The first film was a lean, mean machine: Lino, a mechanic and former criminal, gets framed for murder. He proves his innocence using a modified car and a single bullet lodged in the chassis. It ended with justice served, but a corrupt cop’s brother — the terrifyingly calm Areski — swearing revenge.
At 98 minutes, it’s still tight, but there’s a middle section where the investigation scenes feel recycled from a dozen other thrillers. Also, if you’re expecting deep character arcs for anyone besides Lino, look elsewhere. His partner, Julia (Stéfi Celma), gets one good scene of backstory, then is mostly reduced to radio chatter. lost bullet 2
