Historically, blocking was completely invisible. However, under current privacy settings, there is a nuance. If a user views another profile while logged in, and that profile owner checks their "Who’s Viewed Your Profile" dashboard, the viewer's name may appear. If the viewer then blocks the profile owner, their name disappears from that historical view.

LinkedIn prevents "block ping-ponging." Once a user unblocks someone, they must wait 48 hours before they can re-block that person. This is a safety feature designed to prevent users from harassing others by repeatedly blocking and unblocking them to send notifications.
