The Prophet (PBUH) asked Ubayy ibn Ka’b (a leading companion): "Which verse in Allah’s Book is the greatest?" He replied: "Allah and His messenger know best." The Prophet repeated his question, and Ubayy said: "Ayatul Kursi." The Prophet then struck his chest and said: "Congratulations upon you, Abu Mundhir! By the One in whose hand is my soul, it has a tongue and two lips, and it glorifies the King (Allah) at the foot of the Throne." (Sahih Muslim)
