Set in the Kottayam hills of Tamil Nadu in 1995, the film follows Rajakannu (Manikandan), a member of the Irular tribe, who is arrested on false charges of theft. His pregnant wife, Senggeni (Lijomol Jose), is also harassed by the police. Rajakannu is taken into custody but subsequently “disappears” from the police station. The police claim he escaped, but Senggeni suspects he has been killed in custody.
