After years of supernatural obstacles, and Edward Cullen finally marry. Their honeymoon on Isle Esme is blissful—until Bella discovers she’s pregnant with a rapidly growing half-human, half-vampire fetus. The pregnancy threatens her life, horrifies the wolf pack (who see the unborn child as a threat), and pushes Jacob Black to break away from Sam’s leadership to protect Bella. The film ends with Bella dying in childbirth—then opening her eyes, transformed into a vampire.
